Description
The Church of Madonna di Cascia, on the old Ospedaletto - Cascia road, is a small votive building of uncertain origin but reconstructed in the 17th century.
Above the altar is a Madonna with child on a throne accompanied by angels, a fresco of the first half of the 15th century.
According to tradition, it was built by the population of Cascia following a peace treaty with Norcia. In exchange the inhabitants of Norcia built the Church of the Conception in Cascia.
